~* 34 week appt*~

Well we're almost there - maybe! lol Part of me thought I would've given birth by now .. (just so I didnt get any rest when finishing work - but today is my last day!!) so Im happy we made it, and hopeful I can at least rest for a week or more before they make their big arrival!

Yesterday was our 34 week appt (even though we're almost 35 weeks) ... the doctor was amazed at how well we're doing!

The babies are great weights (yes the last measurement was off as we suspected - mom's really do know best ..lol)

Baby A - 5lbs 15oz
Baby B - 5lbs 10oz

So they are pretty close in size and measuring right on time ... YAY

Everything looks wonderful and they pass all their weekly tests. (every week they have what's called a Biophysical Profile - they have to practice their breathing, do one major movement, and one minor movement) .. plus their cord blood and heartrates are tested ...

Also, no matter how many times they test my blood sugar with those dumb 2 and 3 hour tolerance tests, Im do NOT have gestational diabetes!!! lol .. what a pain, most people only get tested once during their pregnancy, if they pass the one hour test, they are done. I've been for 4, yes 4 crappy tests ... where you drink a gross super sweet orange drink, and they poke your arm every hour .. I've passed ALL my tests but they still decided to send me for 4 of them (just in case) ... well too bad suckers! Im not diabetic!
I just happen to grow decent sized babies .... :)

The OB seems to think everything is just fine ... I think he's amazed actually and keeps searching for something to be wrong .. blood pressure normal .. sugars normal .. next to no weight gain, babies a good size .. everything on track ... something has to be wrong during a twin pregnancy right? lol ... WRONG (shhh I'd better not jinx myself, delivery is coming up soon! lol)
Anyhow, I go back for my weekly check ups on Feb 5th and Feb 12th .. Im pretty sure if by the 12th they arent here we're going to be scheduling an induction .. (he wants them here by Feb 24th) .. with the holiday on Feb 16th .. we are certain the induction date will be set between Feb 17th and Feb 24th ... IF they havent decided to come on their own by then ...

~* 32 week appt *~

So I seriously think I might have little chunky monkeys on my hands!! lol
Actually I think the measurements are way off on Baby A's size.

Back at my 28 week appt on Dec 18th, the babies measured 2lbs 15oz for Baby A and 2lbs 13oz for Baby B. They have always been just a few ounces and days apart in measurements .. until this last appt ....

Apparently in 4 weeks they have grown to a whopping 5lbs 7oz for Baby A, and 4lbs 8oz for Baby B ... (which I think Baby A's weight is way off target) .. but we'll see I guess.

I think my OB is concerned with GD .. (although Im convinced I dont have it), I have to go for another 2 hr GTT coming up here next week ... I've done 3 of these tests so far all they have ALL come back normal ... I have a blood glucometer at home and again, all numbers normal .. so I will do the test for arguments sake ... and see what the results say!

In any case, both babies are doing great, growing well, and my cervix is holding up like a champ! I no longer need cervix checks, just growth scans for the babies and regular appts with the OB.
I assume that means whenever I go into labour now, they wont stop it and just want to monitors the baby's growth rates ...

Baby A's heartrate was 133bpm and Baby B's was 156bpm .. usually this is their normal measurements for heartrates, only a few times have they been exactly the same ... so it's odd .......

Well, there's not much time left now, Im officially done work on Jan 30th ... which is pretty much my 35th week .. no idea when they will come after that ... but here's hoping we hold out until mid-Feb ... I need a little break and time to myself before they make their grand appearance!!

So much left to do ... feels like so little time now!! It wont be long now!
