Today's ultrasound was very nervewracking. This test was for Down's syndrome. With multiples the only way they have a way of knowing is by measuring the nuchal fold (the fluid behind the neck of the babies) - if it is thicker then normal they have an increased risk. The fluid has to be under 3.0mm thick.
This was a long ultrasound, but soooo cool!! Ben came with me (he hasn't missed an appt yet! Such a good daddy!) - and they pressed on my stomach for what seemed like forever!!
Baby A was the most uncooperative at first. He/She was stubborn and just would not stay still or in the right position. It was soooo cool to watch them flipping around and doing somersaults in my belly. But the tech kept having to poke my belly to get the baby to move to the right position. I think the baby wasnt too impressed and decided to make it difficult! lol
Ben swears Baby A looked like he/she was waving!! Soooo cute. Finally the baby settled down so the tech could get a nice reading.

Baby B was wayyyyyyy more cooperative. This one only took about 10 mins. Whereas Baby A took about 40 mins!!
Neither one of them wanted to cooperate to get a heartrate reading either.
She'd put the wand on my belly, we'd hear it and poof, the baby would move and we'd lose it ... both of them didnt want this done!
The tech said not to worry, both were moving around well, we could see them, and we heard them both but they didnt want to stay still for the reading ...
I didnt want to hear the results, I was sooooo nervous. The tech said to us "yes you do". My ears perked up! GOOD NEWS yay!!
The doctor came in and told us that both babies had an extremely low chance, Baby A's measurement was 1.9mm, Baby B - 2.0mm.
YAY, calculated with my maternal age, the baby's gestinational ages, and the thickness of the nuchal fold, there was about a 1:7500 chance!!
These are great readings!! We couldnt have been happier!!
I got a crappy pic from the test but that was the least of my worries!! Both babies are moving along quite nicely so far ... :)
